Probationary period
Also called probation, probation period, probation clause
What is a probationary period?
An initial period of employment. Ontario's Employment Standards Act doesn't require notice of termination for an employee employed less than three months, but a probation clause only limits what is owed at common law if the written employment agreement says so clearly.
