Contract review

A customer, vendor, partner or landlord sent you a contract. When someone sends you a contract.

What it is

Contract review means we read an agreement someone has sent you and tell you in plain language what it commits you to. It can be a customer, vendor, partner or lease agreement. You get notes on the terms that matter and suggested changes, for one agreement of up to 15 pages.

Most contracts you’re sent were drafted by the other side. Knowing what the liability, termination, renewal and IP terms say before you sign is easier than finding out when something goes wrong.

You likely need this if

  • A customer, vendor or partner sent you their contract to sign
  • You’re about to sign a commercial lease
  • A customer sent back redlines on your agreement
  • A contract renews automatically and you want to know your options

What the starting price includes

  • Review of one agreement up to 15 pages
  • Plain-language notes on the terms that matter
  • Suggested changes
  • A call to walk you through them

What can change the price

  • Agreements over 15 pages or with schedules
  • Negotiating with the other side

We tell you before doing anything outside the agreed scope, and agree the fee first.

Questions founders ask

Do you negotiate with the other side?

The starting price covers the review, the notes and suggested changes. Negotiating with the other side can be added, and we quote it before starting.

What if the contract is longer than 15 pages?

Length and complexity can change the fee. We tell you the fee before any work starts.

General information, not legal advice.

How it works

  1. A free 15-minute call. What you’re building and what you need.
  2. A written scope and fixed fee. Before any work starts.
  3. A short, tailored intake. A few focused questions for your matter, so we start with what we need.
  4. Drafting or review. Most work is back within three business days.
